Install in 4 steps

First install Microsoft SQL Server 2025 Express on the exam server (Basic type). See the installation guide.
Run the downloaded CBT System installer on the same computer and follow the steps.
If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info and then Run anyway. This is shown for every new program until it is widely used.
Open CBT System in the browser. The Setup page shows a Computer code at the bottom. Write it down.
Buy your licence, enter the Computer code, then upload the licence file on the Setup page.

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, for the exam server
Microsoft SQL Server 2025 Express (free) on the server. Download it from Microsoft and install it first, using the Basic type.
Student computers on the same network, using a web browser
Internet is not needed during exams

Use a dedicated server computer with an SSD, and no other heavy programs running during exams.

Open the Setup page, choose your licence file and press Upload & Activate. Lost the file? Send it again.
